They may not be able to fly down to Southampton for tomorrow's game. Have they not heard of going early on a bus? Wonder how many of their thousands of fans will have the same problem?
Anyone would think they were owned by an oil state who couldn't give a monkey's about the environment.
Have any of them actually moaned about this or has Howe just answered a question in a press conference saying they might not be able to make their planned flight?
I've flown to a Barnsley game. Portsmouth in the cup. Flights from Manchester to Southampton. Tickets were cheaper than the train. Unfortunately the airline is now defunct. We lost and we were crap but the whole day was a genuine life highlight. Brilliant day. Not the most ecologically sound thing I've ever done but glad I did it.
I'm not sure how many flights will be going from Newcastle to Southampton, but I can imagine it being cheaper than the train. A mate of mine who supports Halifax often flies down to Southampton when they play Eastleigh, as its often the cheapest way.
