I think I’d sooner take loanees now than in the summer. We know what we need now, so getting the right one might just help us get over the line. Easier said than done I know….

Agreed. It's a hell of a lot harder to get permanent tranfers in in Jan than it is in the Summer.

You forgot about that foreign feller who we just about announced then realised he couldn't get a work permit.

I disagree. We need to back him for his full two years, especially doing all we can to back him in the transfer market. He sees the game as we see it. He sees his role as manager clearly as setting up the team and seeking to get the best out of them. He talks the right talk and he is right for this club and this town. The only way it would not work would be if it became transparent that the players had stopped responding to his team talks and training methods and were consistently not doing it on the pitch. He got the right response after the Leyton Orient game. It remains to be seen if he can do the same after Stevenage now. I think that he is straight-talking, honest and honourable. If it gets to the point at which it just isn't working any more, I think that he would probably walk. He is a driven manager. You can't fault his commitment and passion. We are still in the mix for the play-offs and that is about right for this squad. Give him the full two years unless it becomes impossible. One abysmal game now and then doesn't make him a bad manager. Back him.
