    Am I right in thinking that recently we haven't had a sub goalkeeper on the bench?
    What would have happened if Killip had been injured or sent off?
    A new/backup keeper is probably necessary.

    No, it happened but that was only for one game. Bristol Rovers away.

    The rest of the games Smith has been on the bench.

    That was the Head Coach's decision because he wanted more outfield options on the bench.

    Not one I agreed with, but it was explained at the time. We had sub goalkeepers available, but he opted not to select them.

    OK but I refer the honourable gentleman to the matters I mentioned above ... what if ?
    That's one hell of a chance he's taking there.

    He isn't renowned for tactical nouce. He's a ball breaker and disciplinarian. When that fails we lose.

    Exactly the reason why I didn't agree with it.

    I'm pretty sure there was a thread on it at the time, with varying opinions on the wisdom or otherwise of this.
