After reading that post tonight about turning 30 it was interesting to see a few had mentioned about fitness and health……..I do the occasional bit of jogging, I’m no Mo Farah btw, but if anyone is up for a light jog, a jog and a chat, a way to get there arses off the sofa, a starting point or to get some feel factor then maybe a once a week jog would be a good idea. Im just outside the town centre so can meet locally or drive if suits. Anyhow…….if it floats any boats stick it on here and we’ll do something
First one tonight……..dragged my pal off the sofa and we did 4 mile, met at poggy and went on Broadway and into town, had a chinwag and put world to rights. We’ll be doing another one next week. Don’t be shy
Week 3 - We tackled Harborough Hill tonight………wasn’t for the faint hearted I know that much, we didn’t stop though, lad I’ve been going with says he feels loads better after just 2 weeks. Think we’re going to do a 10k next week
Week 4 - we’ve upped the ante a bit this week……..who knows where it’ll take us, felt like it was all hills tonight…….. We keep going
Tbf I wasn’t starting from a standing start but we’ve just kept trying to improve week on week……training in pairs definitely helps, we’ve been circuit training once a week too which has helped in other aspects of short sharp fast exercising
Doing all the right things TBF. Biggest tips I give people is keep adding a little each week in terms of distance but slow down to do it. Add a speed session once a week those with your circuit training will stand you in great stead.
I did CrossFit for about 3 years so I’ve tried to implement some of that into our training, increasing workouts by a extra 5s per exercise, dosent seem a lot but I’ve definitely felt it
