Funny game football when it comes to opinions. I thought we were absolutely terrible.

Lofthouse aside we didn’t create any great or even good chances really. The efforts on target in the main were pot shots from distance down the keepers’ throat. There was no incisive play and no time it felt we were hammering on the door and likely to get in front at any moment.

I would not describe the attacking as solid.

I’d describe the opposition as absolute dross and I think their manager will wake up in the morning regretting not having a little bit more of a go. That game had one nil away win written all over it with all of our profligacy and they weren’t far off getting it.

Look at the Sky stats - we had nineteen shots, ten on target, but the only ‘clear cut’ chance of the game went to Burton. How many of the saves made by their keeper would you say were good saves? Every single one was routine. I’d hazard a guess that the xG stat (this is a thing that seems to be flavour of the month stat wise with the young ‘uns!) would not show us to have been expected to score many; one perhaps.
