So deadline day looms tomorrow night at 11pm. I what does everyone think the ins and outs will be and thought it would be handy to keep all the rumours etc in one thread? I’ll start. outs Cosgrove Benson In Two strikers but considering how long we have been in the market and the expectation around it they are more than likely to be underwhelming
Outs: Phillips £2.5million plus add ons Benson Smith (Loan) Lofthouse (loan) Ins: 2 strikers, both on loan, one from a Championship club & one from a premier league club, both with under 5 first team appearances. We’ll try offering Cosgrove out, but no suitors.
Haven't a clue tbh, will just see what's what come Tues lunchtime when all the late deals pull through, try not to over worry what will be will be its rarely a window for wholesale changes. I hope our recent performances have hit home and I've no doubt we will occupy where I thought we'd be pre season around 9th and there's a root and branch clear out in the summer not just players but philosophy and what we are supposed to be.
Regardless of what business gets done from here, I'm hugely disappointed that this transfer window has become another last minute scramble to do business that was an obvious requirement when it opened. Things were supposed to improve with a Director of Football in place and I've seen no evidence of such, so I think it's reasonable to now ask exactly what that role is delivering. It's not the sole part of the remit, obviously, but I'm failing to see any sign of a tangible improvement in the on-field offering, even allowing for the fact that we're becoming more financially constrained and there's a natural drop-off to be expected with each season spent at this level. We might have a perfect 24 hours tomorrow and fulfil every requirement on both incoming and outgoing business, but we'll still have missed the opportunity to get some of that improvement in place for the last 4 games, of which we've lost 3 and drawn at home to a relegation candidate. It would still be a poor window, in my view. Clearly we're not going to achieve that utopia situation from here, and will do odds and sods of business on the day. For me, the specifics will determine only whether it's simply a poor window or an abject failure overall.
Yep, the dinosaur can eat some opposing fans for half time entertainment. You can play with the fluff in your pocket, oooh matron. And the subs can play marbles as part of the warm up routine.

Fax machine tried it's best but was competing with other larger fax machines in a small pool for the same pieces of fax paper, but we're happy with the fax paper the fax machine did pull through and we believe having not lost any crucial fax paper that we've retained a really competitive pack of paper.
Way things are at the moment can't see much happening in or out but am waiting to be pleasantly surprised.
What we needed was 2 proven goalscorers in their prime signed on 01/01/25 well actually we really needed them in the summer. What we will get if we are lucky is panic buys on the last day of the window which could either be strikers that can't get in their current teams because they are passed their prime.or never got there or unproven kids from Premier/ Championship clubs still wet behind the ears or a mixture of the two we've known for two windows what's been needed and going onto the last day of the second window not having satisfied that need is nothing short of incompetence / negligence.
