After yesterday’s disaster, coupled with our poor league form & poor squad in general, I fear we are looking at a relegation battle, if not this season then definitely next season. Play offs are out of the question, so players will be sold, & no money spent, just freebies & loans next season. League 2 beckons in the coming seasons. The board need to put the club up for sale, the managed decline we’ve seen over the years has been embarrassing. It’s time to go!
Wow to decide a side thats 2 points outside the playoffs with over half a season gone is heading for relegation based on a transfer window which hasnt weakened the squad is a bit of a stretch. None of the players we have sold/loaned out are players we will really miss. Weve signed 4 new ones and its far too soon to tell if they are improvements or not. No way will we get dragged into this years relegation battle, Whether we can make a serious attempt at the playoffs depends remains to be seen Personally I think we are likely to finish around 10th but could be out by 5 or 6 places in either direction. As for next season Ive no idea and neither have you As for selling the club just who is going to come in and be prepared to pump millions in and do a better job. Far more likely to get another Conway than a Reynolds
Don’t forget about this season yet, need to get seven points from somewhere lol. What a shambles. At least new grounds in league two!
Yet another relegation post. Been having the same discussions for over 2 years now... feels a monthly topic.
It’s still a promotion battle this season even tho the chances of that are definitely worse after yesterday, however next season when the season ticket sales and therefore revenue fall off a cliff I fear we will be nearer the bottom than the top
You are correct but our goal difference makes it effectively 2 points from a playoff position, my wording could have been clearer though Only a point and goal difference away from the playoffs was a bit of a mouthful
I reckon we'll get promoted before we get relegated and I'm prepared to put my money where my mouth is for a charity bet if you like, Sam.
No t mathematically but I’ve certainly given up hope, just following what has been a white flag surrendering window by the club
I find it quite amusing that half the people on this board, who supposedly fully support BFC, think that we're a total basket case of an organization from top to bottom. Yet in the same breath they believe that there are hoards of people lining up, who probably don't support BFC, to buy us. Quite a conundrum, wrapped in puzzle and swathed in an enigma.
