I always understood there was Fifa regulation that allowed it to happen between windows.

No. Otherwise clubs would just trade cash on the provision that the receiving club mutually terminates the contract of the player.

    Article 6 - Registration periods
A professional whose contract has naturally expired or has been mutually terminated prior to the end of the registration period applicable to the engaging
club may be registered with the engaging club also after expiry of the respective registration period.

I agree with you, I enjoy reading your posts. Always positive. Not going to lie I'm finding it hard to be positive at the minute but what will be will be. Looks to me like we have been badly run and now we're skint, I read today we have the 3rd highest wage bill in the league and 63 players on the books. Massive clearout needed in the summer maybe.
I'm still looking forward to a few games home and away this season. But not that optimistic, keep posting fella.

63 players?! Maybe if we include every age group

Then we are properly screwed. Has that changed fairly recently? I have it in my mind that there have been instances of players being released early so they could join a new club. We might have even done it ourselves but can’t recall who it might have been.

Martin Waghorn was lasted about a month at Northampton? How bloody exciting.

Is that Jordan Rhodes option still available?

I read 63 in the local Wycombe rag the other week before we played them.

I'm sure it has changed at some point, but when I don't know, years ago though I think.
