Mike Sheron - nowhere near as bad or as lazy as people made out. Scored a decent amount of goals.

I'm not sure how popular he was, but I never rated Jovo Bosancic.
And I completely agree about David Watson as well.

All this thread demonstrates is that some people know absolutely nothing about football :)

I even posted on here once, that I thought Victor Adeboyejo was absolute pants (not good enough!).
And it didn't go down too well.

I'd agree with this, never got the love in with him.

For sure - but we definitely didn't get the best of him.

Which is wild, considering that I've just looked it up and he's played far more games for Barnsley than he has for anybody else. 152 appearances for us over four seasons, but if you said Mike Sheron I'd still say QPR.

I can see it! 100 for Man City, 63 for QPR. Admittedly this is during the slightly hazy period of my life when I didn't really follow the club closely, but I'm honestly astounded that he turned out more for us than either of them.

I rate them both as it happens. Honest and committed pros, capable of a defensive howler, but also both pretty skillful for defenders and great to watch going forward. We're a poorer side without Jordan Williams, and we'd be a poorer side without Josh Earl, despite his deficiencies.

David Watson was very young for a keeper, and his command of the box would have improved as he got older. His reading of the game and speed off his line were incredible. Can't think of another keeper who I'd categorically back in a 1 on 1 - bear in mind that a huge chunk of his games were played in the Premier League, against some of the best strikers in the world. David Watson was probably the only Barnsley player I've seen who was truly world class when he played for us. My opinion is that if he hadn't been injured, we'd have been promoted back to the Premier League and he'd have been England's number 1 for a decade. He really was that good.

There were a few around me who didn't rate Eaden. Mental. An absolutely incredible footballer. If he'd been blessed with a bit more pace he'd have been knocking on the door of the England squad.

I agree, I just don't think enough of the fan base rates them both that highly to go on a post like this mate. Williams at right back was a real talent imo. Was it 6 goals and 7 assists under duff there? Earl really impressed me when he first arrived, but then after giving that pen away in the 98th minute against Bolton, he was mistake central. He has however, in my opinion, cut a lot of those mistakes out and is steadily improving again.

And whilst I think in the end he was unanimously slated, quite a lot of people referred to Jacob Mellis as a wasted talent, when I honestly think he didn't have much to waste.
