We'd already run ourselves out twice.

 

Stockport aren't a great side but they we're well organised and stuck to what they're good at, so fair play to em.
Clarke and his coaches need to find a way of putting some steel and shape into our side because we just look so flimsy and easy to beat.
Lots of pointless passing that gets us nowhere is far too predictable.

Disagree, we weren’t great but we managed to impose our game more. Let’s not forget, but for 2 poor pieces of defending there wouldn’t have been much in that first half score wise

Connell was aimlessly pottering about too which didn't help Earl.

 

Come on mate you can't knock connell he's the only one who "gets stuck in" or so I keep hearing on here.

 

Thought Connell was the only one that showed in midfield today, at least tried to make things happen

 

I thought he was okay today tbh recently he's been poor and been defended on here.

 

So the most likely scenario was that the new guy would have started on the bench and introduced slowly but instead needed to play and has been written off based on one half of football.

 

Stockport declared at half time, after we’d put in another contender for worst display of the season. Yes, we finally created one or two chances in the second half but I saw little to be enthused about as County shut up shop. Just another very disappointing performance matched by the bizarre shape/setup and barmy subs.

Anyone putting a left wing back on up front and moving Connell to left wing back, leaving your only striker on the bench deserves criticism, regardless of the other issues around the club. And I had no idea what they were trying to do first half in terms of system. The players looked to be just as confused. Two overhit crosses were our best moments in that opening ‘45.

It’s quite possibly the most painful to watch side I’ve seen in 37 years.

Even without the goal, I felt DKD gave it his best but other than that, there didn’t seem to be a positive performance out there and that’s one point from 15 is it? In the third division.

 

Russell was weak as piss receiving the ball from our own goalkeeper for first one too. Thought connell was decent today, just OK. Better than majority of others...

 

If they're going there to sit on their hands all day they may as well let others have the tickets

 

Too many on here seem to have an agenda against him when to me he works twice as hard as Phillips, Russell and Nwakali whether he’s having a good, average or poor game.

 

Let's not tell people how to enjoy their hobbies. Especially after spending their hard earned money and travelling.

I’m usually a bit more positive, but that was bad. And recruitment has little to do with that result. That’s the players and ultimately the manager.

Lose against Hudds and I think he’ll be gone….
