Of course you're not....there's nobody else to make a full bench....unless you're suggesting leaving it a player short and not even giving a kid the feel of a matchday.
bitterly disappointed to turn up and see not much umph, walked art after 35th minute which is definitely a first. onto next week. You reds.
With respect, I'd say you're the most consistently positive poster on the BBS, to the extent that I've sometimes wondered if you work for the club, as you very rarely aim any criticism in their direction, and will quite often adopt a position that defends them. Seeing you post something like this should be far more alarming for anyone internal in the club to read than one of Scott's predictable weekly meltdowns, for example. For clarity, this isn't intended as a dig in any way, just in case anyone interprets it as such, but todays output is as critical a series of posts as I can recall from you, and that's telling.
Just on Farrugia. I know it’s more dramatic if you say ‘played a left back up front’ but he was apparently much more of a winger before we signed him & has played up front before. He is a utility player who we apparently want to develop into a left wing back. I haven’t got an issue with that. Players have to play out of position at times when you have injuries. On Dyer, most on here would say they don’t rate Cosgrove and Marsh & Dyer has been well below them in the pecking order all season so I think it’s safe to say Clarke’s isn’t a fan.
Folk saying put a LWB up front missing they did say he could and has played Right Wing. So it's not *that* unexpected.
We have had a couple of our regular positive posters sounding concerned at today’s events, it is not a good sign at all.
Part of me thinks today was more to do with protecting him by not throwing him into a woeful display for an entire second half, with a restless crowd and the team already 2-0 down, and with little prospect of pulling anything back. He's probably raw, and not yet ready to be trusted in that situation, but could potentially see some game time in more favourable situations. The fact that he's our sole attacking option on the bench is utterly damning.
Nah, the same team performed and got good results against Bolton, Posh, Wrexham and Crawley. The same side or there abouts should be performing against Stockport too. Thats down to the players and coaches. If we had performed well, and created lots but couldn’t score, then yes, you’d say where that’s new striker we needed. But today was much more than that it was poor front to back.
But he wasn't playing right wing he was playing through the middle we had a young forward on the bench who I'm guessing would have been busting a gut to get on and try to make an impact if only for his own career prospects.
We needed goals he scores goals maybe not bring him on for the full second half but when it became clear that Stockport were taking things easy and we were getting chances and not scoring surely it's worth a punt for the last 20 minutes at least.
One of Doug's in-game posts indicated he was getting ready to come on, but it didn't then happen. Not sure what changed, assuming Doug's post was accurate.
It seems like many have the agenda against others and defend him even when he's poor which has been often.
Just a poor display from all today. Players have to take blame too, but ultimately it lies with the Head Coach, and also his assistants too.
Well Al in all the years I've watched us the first 45 minutes today as to be up there in some of the worst 45 I've seen . The head coach as to take responsibility for the line up and tactics, we are rudderless at the moment . We need a leader ,don't see Clarke as the one.
He was signed to play left wing back because they’ve already chalked on Gent. He’s only played left wing back since signing. I think it’s fair to be confused when at half time you see him enter the pitch and make his way into the centre forward position. It’s like Duff dragging Tedic off after 45 and sticking Larkeche up top while Marsh is on the bench.
