“They are obviously not an adaptable enough group to be able to change it which I tend to have done in my career a lot of times.”

Basically calling his players thick. Not a good look

He decided to try and change it when we were playing 4th place away from home, not last week when it was 22nd place at home.

    Absolute berk.

I expect professional footballers to be able to do the basics, our lot are a bunch of fannies. We have a player in MDG who doesn't know how to take a throw in, we have players who can't complete simple passes, it's utterly embarrassing.

Maybe it was because after getting beaten all over the pitch against 22nd and finding out that he wasn't getting any players to improve things that he had to try to change something now

Said to my family today that I can see Clarke saying some stuff in upcoming interviews that may relieve him of his duties. He’s been let down by the signings.

And everyone one them was brought to the club under the recruitment policy none are home grown we actually signed these players to sell on and make a profit on but then hired coaches incapable of improving them. It's all a complete mess from the boardroom to the dressing room.

The whole situation is probably irreparable now. Certainly for this season. The fans, the players, the manager, the board, are just completely disjointed. It all feels very toxic. I can't see Clarke lasting the season, and we'll be no further forward from sacking Collins.

Is he on about the players or the clowns in the boardroom?

I'm sure there's a queue forming of folk ready to give him a helping kick in the nuts, Mladen probably front of queue........

DC pretty much tells it as he sees it. I’ve listened to his interview and he also took full accountability for the first half performance and admitted it was a mistake to change the system. He’s not perfect but I’d rather have an interview like that than a manager who gaslights us after a rubbish performance.

It's becoming reminiscent of the end of Keith Hill's tenure. The digs are arguably more subtle from DC, but there's plenty to read between the lines currently.

Should take the Have I Got News For You approach given the number of managers we have had in recent seasons and give it to a guest manager every game.

I have no idea if DC is good enough and with this squad i dont think i will ever know. That doesnt excuse whether he has to take part of the blame because he does. However it seems even he doesn't believe this squad is good enough, and now it seems he is saying they are unmanageable. I would be very surprised if a new manager can turn this side around, but who knows? One thing is for sure, the board dont have the desire or means to invest or be ambitious at league one level.

    'We go again'

I'm going to try that at my work when I've dropped a bollock - no apologies, just ah well, we go again on Monday.

He made a new lad with zero service the scapegoat.

Played a full back up front.

    Kept Pines on the pitch.

Had Josiah Dyer getting ready to come on and changed his mind.

Imho...I think Clarke has been brave today...he's tried something different.
He cannot be accused of been a one trick poney or one dimension football.
    Unfortunately it was a disaster...
it also proved that we don't have anyone in that back line who can actually defend.
The recruitment is absolutely awful...defenders who can't defend.....not one out and out striker and a midfield who have some good technical attributes but absolutely zero pace and zero ball carriers.
Today taught me that our coach has put a defender and a midfielder up front 2nd half yo put two fingers up to our shambles of a recruitment team.
Btw if you guys read this (recruitment)....take this as constructive criticism...you have assembled a squad of players with zero thought of football and how to construct a team to play....you have also sold the coach down the river.

Comes across like a bellend throwing players under the bus instead of taking any responsibility. Bet the players love working under him

Recruitment is shocking. Yet another head coach thrown under the bus. However as much as there is something admirable about DC’s honesty he is digging his players out, failing to motivate them and every single player has gotten worse under his coaching. I’m not sure what he is or what he’s trying to do. there is no clear identity or style of play. He seems to be out of ideas.

He's made some strange decisions today the starting 11 was just weird. Then he changes it to wing backs but the one he fetched on he plays up front,is that a dig at the board not sure.
