I arrived at Stockport and took my place on the away end in the open air. The team was greeted with limited enthusiasm by our fans who I feel have reached the end of their tether after recent performances and what they see as a dismal transfer window. We played disjointed with no obvious pattern and players playing out of position against a top six side. When Pines fell over to gift Stockport the first goal the atmosphere went from bad to worse the second penalty goal signalled the end of the game for us and some fans tried to make their way home. The second half was better chasing a lost cause and Ferrugia came on and went up front. (To be fair he did worse than anyone else). Where we go from here I don't know, we'll only downwards I feel. I dread to Huddersfield game as I feel we will be further humiliated. One bright note I missed out on a Rotherham ticket at this moment I am glad.
Got a baby on the way so not risking travelling at the moment as home games are 140 mile trips. To be honest, it’s an excuse not to go. I watch them on television and when it’s over, I can go back to what I was doing that day instead of having to travel etc. Apathy at its highest it’s ever been for me.
Most toxic atmosphere I've come across. In the first 2/3 minutes. One gobshite (among many) was giving verbals to the new signing. Never let up. So I shifted 2nd half and the rumours were bizzare. Coming from some at the back of me.
It's not a massive surprise when the lads on the pitch seem to be allowing apathy to creep into their game. How that's happened I'd love to know. How can you go from winning 4 in a row to then suddenly losing all ability/drive in the space of a couple of weeks. Even at Bristol Rovers they created tonnes and should've won comfortably. Since then it's like they've just though ah fk it, we're not good enough to finish top 6. Fans have unsurprisingly followed suit.
Oohh we love a good dodgy rumour or two, don't we lol. Hey Hook, was the new French striker that poor, and looking out of his depth almost, as some have suggested ?.
Hard to tell giving the way the game went, personally I'm waiting to see him have a chance to influence the game before judging him
The fans are not stupid, they see the team being run down. The board are not wanting to invest in the team, the transfer window has just highlighted this. The fans have been let down yet again by the board and it sucks. When it comes to season ticket sales for next season what will they resort to this time after the Hourihane fiasco.
I echo what Cowboy sez. The supply chain was poor in that first half. A couple of the rumours. (and there were more) Board are making millions. When I said they are putting money in. He said "ah but they get it all back in tax" His mate says a player was going to sign but another at the club put him off. (Not in the realms of impossible but he wouldn't or couldn't name him. Top secret lol his mate said so) And the one about JAQ was so daft I won't repeat it. Other than I gave him 100% evidence to prove him wrong. And he actually said. "I wonder where mi mate got that one from, the nob" lol.
Yeah I think that's fair for every player, but especially for a new signing. They must be given a decent run of games (which we quite often don't do), before getting rid of them and deciding they are rubbish!.
