Marsh isn’t good enough for me. Jury still out on Jalo but I’m not convinced with him either. He’s not physically strong enough for third tier football at the moment.
He played briefly in a couple of EFL trophy games earlier in the season and didn't look ready. One of those games was 45 minutes against Man Utd U21 - essentially his peer group - and the gap in quality (and physicality) was quite alarming. I may be wrong, and he may have improved since then, but sadly I'm not hopefully.
Like I keep saying Dyer has warmed the bench 2 weeks running, what have we to lose when nobody else is scoring
I'm going to say it as it is,if Clarke said he was on a zoom call and said it went well.Hes very nieve or stupid, can't even get a free agent in !
Or we were never serious about doing it anyway. We hear same about free agent market every year but never bring anyone in.
Exactly and he's twenty one later this year. He should be playing first team Football for someone now. He's not as young as people think.
The more time that passes, the less it makes sense to bring someone in. We’re virtually out of play off contention, I see little point adding more wage costs in another speculative punt.
Was about to post the same. If we could have got a forward who could make an impact, we needed them at the beginning of January. By the end of January we'd lost ground and the potential value of such a signing had diminished. As unpalatable as it might be, maybe that's why we didn't sign a more obvious solution, because there's no point blowing a chunk of cash on a lost cause? Watters and Jalo will be fit in a month or so. In the meantime, we have to back the guy they did sign, and I hope that will be backed up with giving some chances out to the young 'uns. There's really not much point doing anything else.
Clark had a discussion with a player by zoom. A free agent. The club are now moving forwards to sign him and expect to announce it at 11pm on the last day of the next transfer window ;-)
