What we need is a "The season starts now and everything up to now is gone." This needs to apply to the players , Coaches and fans. I appreciate that lots have lots of issues with the board and upper management but in all honesty there`s absolutely nothing we can do to change anything for the rest of the season. A matchday protest will simply provide a negative atmosphere - it just will. A big crowd and local derby is a potential platform for a positive turnaround. As fans we can do our part. Happy clapper - that`s me!
Absolutely right but it`s obvious that the all round negativity has got to the coach /players so all we can do is provide some positivity and see where it gets us.
Its a nice thought but there's too much baggage from players, board, coach and fans now. Best thing that can happen for rest of the season now is the team play better, show some battling qualities and start winning games. Its up to the team/coach to provide some sparks....
Upto recently I think the fans have been pretty understanding tbh, especially given our home form in 2024, majority of fans I sit around are supportive, however the feeling towards those above is very different, fans get frustrated with poor performances no doubt, but the anger is aimed at the board and not so much the players.
It's already a positive for me, with me not having to get up at 4:15 PST. That's all I can think of at the moment.
Maybe it’s as simple as we just need somebody different to have a go at creating the match day threads
The fans have suffered enough in my opinion. Its ok being a happy clapper if that's where youre coming from but I do think that its well past time for the club to give something to the fans. There's a reason why fans are voting with their feet and its not because they dont love the club or dont want to support it - its continual kak and mismanagement which has demoralised them. Its the board, coach and players responsibility to get fans back onside. Things are poor, have been for a while and when you've been ground down over a long period of time its hard to get positive.
A negative attitude from the fans on matchday will come across as just that. Save it for after the final whistle or preferably away from the ground on matchday.
Please yourself - hope you find solace in your negativity. I like to go to Oakwell to support the team - doesn’t mean I like what’s happening with the upper management but as I put in the OP nothing can happen until the end of the season so my view is going with a negative attitude would stop me enjoying going.
Hang on a minute here, I think every fan has a right to choose how they voice their opinions respectfully, but yet here you are telling me what i should or shouldn't do. I'll go and support the team as usual, if i choose not to spend any additional funds inside the ground or decide to share my opinion on the ownership on here or elsewhere that's upto me, I don't know you and find it ridiculous you are telling people how to behave, what are you attitude police ? I wouldn't start telling you what's what on your opinion, be like me saying save your chest thumping rally cry for another time.
I don’t think I’ve told you to do anything - read my post again. I’ve stated that a negative attitude from the outset from the fans will affect the players. Tell me I’m wrong.
Bang on. Haven’t been since beginning of Jan and don’t intention any time soon. Will do away games as owners don’t get the money and love the days out but despite a season pass, won’t see me at Oakwell anytime soon. Using my pass to get my tickets for smaller away ends.
So what you are saying is that you telling me to save it until after the final whistle or away from the ground, isn't telling me where I can or can't voice my opinion then? Infact if you read your OP of the thread it starts with Right....what we need to do blah blah, have you been appointed fan instructor?
