Supporters attending our home fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday 15th February 2025 (kick-off at 15:00) should be aware of additional road closures and restrictions in place around Oakwell Stadium. The following road closures are in addition to the Wesley Street road closure announced recently. Road Closure Timings To minimise disruption, the closures will take effect from 16:30 until approximately 18:15. The reopening time may vary depending on operational police requirements. These closures are in addition to the standard post-match restrictions in place near Pontefract Road beneath the Harborough Hill flyover, which affect: Harborough Hill exit slip roads Pontefract Road beneath the Harborough Hill flyover Bala Street Queen’s Road Additional Road Closures and Restrictions The following additional restrictions will be enforced: Road & Car Park Closures Market Gate Car Park – Closed all day. Railway Station Car Park – No vehicle access; however, cars can exit the car park with a left turn only. Pick-up/drop-off remains available on Eldon Street/Midland Street. Cars can wait on Eldon Street North for pick-up, parking on double yellow lines between Honeywell Street/Beckett Street and Schwabisch Gmund Way, provided the driver remains in the vehicle. Interchange and railway station users should be aware that access to and from the car park will be restricted. Any violation of the road closure may result in police action, including possible enforcement measures. Full closure of Schwabisch Gmund Way from the junction with Mottram Street to the junction with Kendray Street/Pontefract Road. Mottram Street access/egress will remain open to and from Eldon Street North. Vehicles approaching a road closure will need to find an alternative route. Business & Facility Access Restrictions Buzz Bingo Access to the car park will be unavailable between 16:00 and 18:30 due to the Schwabisch Gmund Way closure. Vehicles can exit the car park at any time via Harborough Hill (downhill side). Pedestrian access will be maintained via Midland Street, Interchange (subject to operational restrictions), Tommy Taylor Memorial Bridge (Market Gate Bridge), Pontefract Road, and Eldon Street North. Railway Station Drop-Off & Pick-Up Pick-up/drop-off remains available on Eldon Street North/Midland Street. Cars can park for pick-up on Eldon Street, using the double yellow lines between Honeywell Street/Beckett Street and Schwabisch Gmund Way, provided the driver remains in the vehicle.
