The negativity on the BBS at times is suffocating.
I'm sure football wasn't meant to be this way.

100% a football thing, barring the few clubs out of the 92 that punch above there weight each season and the few that are where the fans expect them to be, all the others from what i pick up on are the same. Teams not quite in the position the fans expect, its gone from not just wanting the manager out to ‘the clubs rotten’ ‘we need a clean sweep’ ‘we need new owners’, a large majority of football fans have seemingly turned into petulant kids, spitting there dummies out when its not quite going there way.

Created by an inept board, inept manager, and inept players. Connection to the club has gone with a constant churn of players only ever there for short term until they are sold or released. Whilst there is no god given right to be world beaters, the whole Oakwell experience is poor and people have a right to vent and an opinion.

There wasn't much negativity when Ismael, Struber, Duff, Stendel, Heckingbottom were in charge.

Get the right man, make the right signings and the fans are happy.

To be fair some of the usual suspects on here were moaning about ismaels style of football. I do think we have a very negative fan base at times.

Yeah and one or two were even having a go at him. Because of what he did, in Austrian club football, before he even joined us!.

Best way to judge is to look at the forums of clubs in a similar situation.

Luton are really towing following a good few years of success, so there’s a good starting point.

Peterborough probably worth a read as they have fallen away badly after consecutive playoff campaigns, and maybe Bolton as they are off the pace this season.

There used to be links to a Sunderland board on here a while ago; it made the opinions on this one look positively joyful.

I can understand their fans being unhappy at dropping down to league one though, it’s a much bigger deal for a club their size. Having said that, as with many clubs, the same fans never express concern when they are losing money chasing success.
