38 years first game as a baby in arms, I just can’t take that anymore. Feel for Clarke as his hands are tied with the dross they are signing on his behalf, kills me as it’s the club I’ve followed and supported all my life but I just can’t do it anymore.

My 9 year old said before the game he doesn’t want to go as he’s fed up and it’s boring.

    Feel for Clarke?

He's a major part of the problem.

Agreed but no idea what the solution is. This squad is absolutely horrendous, that said I don't have any idea whatsoever what our 2nd half tactics were and that's on Clarke

It's not a great squad by any means. But it's not horrendous. Look at that first half. They are more than capable, just being coached by a clown.

No manager is getting a tune out of this squad, the side today 8/11 are league two players at best Pines the French kid Earl would struggle to get in a L2 side. We’re in a very dark place at the moment and it ain’t getting any better soon

I've been to 2 home league games this season. I live in the middle of the country so away games are often easier or only a bit further. I only went to a few at Oakwell last season too.

How can I justify travelling up for a crap matchday experience, and a set of players and manager who aren't good enough or don't give a shìt? Both Brought in by a clueless board. It's absolutely fickle of me, but I'm not going again with any regularity unless these tossers sell up or sort it out. 4 home wins in the third tier is absolutely fùcking disgraceful.

I don't know, our complete inability to do the basics is completely inexcusable. Our passing at times is as bad as I can remember in 30 years of going, decision making constantly terrible, they're slow, back out of challenges, zero concentration, no conviction in anything we do. We did look decent first half but even then we fall to pieces when it matters

And why can't they do those? What are they doing each week on training ground.

At least 90% of this group were here last season and got into top 6 and maintained a push for top 2 for a decent chunk of season. They have not all turned into useless players over night. We have more than enough good L1 players in this side to be able to produce better than we are seeing. A lot of this is on coaching staff.

Look at Swindon over the last few games (apart from today!), languishing and sinking to oblivion and in comes a new manager (Neil Holloway), Note no new players, but he gets them motivated. A Manager Can make a Big difference imho.

So many other examples of this sort of thing too mate. Someone said it on another thread on here not long ago and it was spot on, a good coach can make average players look like great players.

Minor part of the problem. I think you'll find those above him are the major problem. Changes at the top needed. New ownership please.

I don't disagree. But until they can do the basics I can't see anything changing

It’s Ian Holloway mate, some on here think he’s rubbish btw, but he’s a motivator, to which Darrel Clarke said he was, although I didn’t see much off that second half today. No fight in team at all and our manager as to do better regarding that.

The majority of this squad was in the L1 playoffs last season you know. With others that come in being proven L1 players, top L2 players or players from abroad like Nwakali that played at a higher level than L1.

It's not a L2 squad at all. It's being made to look like one by a clueless coaching team.

Said to my mate just before half time i hope we don’t just drop off and allow Huddersfield to come on to us second half but low and behold that’s exactly what we did and its not the first time at Oakwell this season , we really are a soft touch with no backbone on a journey to division 2 if were not careful.

I think we only made the playoffs because of Cole's goals. Once he stopped firing we looked woeful and began to be exposed more and more

We're just so easy to play against and whilst I think our setup at times is all wrong, the players have to take a huge amount of accountability for why we've nose-dived of late.

Just can't see how this squad is capable of competing consistently enough

We've more than enough in this squad to be competing for top 6. It's a far tougher L1 this season, but we've still got enough quality here to be right in amongst it. This narrative that it's an abysmal squad doesn't wash with me at all.

Yes it's not perfect, yes we need a better striker like Cole and probably a CB but we have more than enough in the building now to be up there fighting for top 6. But we are currently miles off it. Already lost as many as Collins did last year.

As I've said many times, there are bigger issues here than just DC, but he's one of the issues for sure and unfortunately for him, he's the easiest one to change.
