It seems to be a vicious circle. The players/manager/board are obviously responsible for the current predicament and in turn it's causing a dreadful home atmosphere. The fans seemed to be on the players backs from minute one, every stray pass or miscontrol met with a collective groan. I found it demoralising. Then after Huddersfield got in front, apathy/resignation seemed to set in. Can anything be done to break the cycle, short of sacking the manger?
Been like it for years, just gradually getting worse mate. It's my belief that the atmosphere at oakwell is why we sacked Collins with 1 game to go
The atmosphere is best at Oakwell when the Supporters, players, management team & hierarchy are all as one & singing from the same hymn sheet, results obviously play a part too. Currently we are lacking any semblance of structure. We have a useless director of football, a questionable manager, poor players & an ownership group who haven’t a clue what they’re doing. It’s going to take a long time to see the kind of atmosphere witnessed against Sheffield Wednesday a couple of years ago. Until then personally I’m out, the club aren’t getting another penny from me until there are drastic changes made.
