    100% agree with you.
Lack of leadership on tbe pitch. I've posted this on another thread.
No leadership on the. grass. Not from one player. Nobody showed any fight.
Clarke will not have said to those players at half time that they should go out and perform luke they did.
The players should hang their heads in shame aftwr yesterday because they let us down.
Blaming Clarke for the second half no show is way way off the mark.

If I were an opposing manager I'd say, break at the pace because the Barnsley defence doesn't have any pace. and the midfield players won't track back like their lives depended on it.
I'd say although Barnsley don't have any pace at the back they'll sometimes play a high-sh line which makes them vulnerable to the ball over the top. Wycombe, Stockport and Huddersfield all got goals from this. Mael tried to get back but he knew he was in trouble yesterday. Pines the same against Stockport. Wycombe just kept pinging the ball over the top for their speedy front players.

I'd just say, "kick it over the top and chase it. Their defenders keep a high line but have no pace so you'll easily get in behind. And even if they get there first, they'll let it bounce and you'll easily be able to rob it off them."

But I think opposition managers have already worked that out.

Their first goal was all about our set up at the free kick for us , whatever they worked on during training for that move forgot the defending if we lost it , which we did . Playing it short across goal when you’ve put all your big lads up against relative midgets was bonkers

We certainly do tail off as the game progresses.

Out of interest, what evidence would suggest that the coach is creating sub-par performances from the players? - would anyone ever sack a coach if a team is underperforming based on the logic that they are clearly better then their performances suggest therefore it’s the players fault?

My thoughts exactly. Duff did what a decent manager would do and it fired his team up, ours did very little and we were unprepared.
