Well after yet another abject surrender at least work will be starting on the safe standing and fanzone, they said work would start after Huddersfield after all.
Walked down past where the school used to be yesterday and work is moving on. What a shame we didn't purchase that land for a fanzone.
So cryne should have bought a building for I don't know near on a million quid to use once every 2 week for a fanzone? I've said on here before it would have been a good fanzone or match day pub but realistically your going to lose money on it.
"Following the demolition of the existing buildings on the site, the proposed works include the construction of new buildings, consisting of 32no. residential dwellings and accompanying front and rear amenity space, including on-site parking at the front of each dwelling. "
I wouldn't have bought it for that but considering it's proximity to the club and the impact any development there has on the ground id have snapped it up
A few ideas I had at the time 1. Develope the land like bapps are now. The club would be land owners so could make money from rental income and it would also stop any objections to am eventual new west stand. 2. Convert to apartments. Could be used for rental income or for player/academy use. Ideal location. Due to it being two buildings it could have been used for both. 3. Move club offices there freeing up space in the ponty end for retail/fanzone like chien lee wanted. 4. Hotel? 5. Hospitality facilities. With it being a beautiful building it could make a lot of money as a restaurant (bit fancier than going out for dinner in a football stand) and has a lot of room to entertain execs. Eventually could be connected into a new west stand via a bridge which would be iconic Lots of money making ideas there
They've got planning for 32 developments, I can't see it going for cheap 500k-750k? How are you going to make it profitable when realistically it will be busy once every 2 weeks? Ah fair enough you given your suggestions I thought you meant to use as a fanzone.
Kelechi's diagonal pass which he hit from the dhe of our area to find o'keefe in space running to the edge of their area. Real quality.
They’re quite big projects though. He bought Barnsley because he was a fan, that doesn’t mean he wanted to be a hotelier or a residential landlord for multiple apartments.
Well.said. There were over 15000 people in the stadium and only one man saw that pass. Our number 50. Hoodle-esque.
