Went all over the WMC scene watching bands like Bitter Sweet, Limelight , the Kestrels and Paddy Green Set , some brilliant nights out round Cudworth, Hemsworth and Birdwell.

Very sad loss. I loved the Jam growing up and still do.

Hemsworth Soldiers & Kinsley Farmers - both gone now.

Radiation were another popular band back in the day

My favourite band, resonated with me as a teenager and such clever lyrics. RIP Rick.

Weller’s lyrics were so clever and still resonate now

Style Council can't ever be described as wishy washy. Different style to The Jam but they made some brilliant music.

All about opinions mate. A lot of people thought the same at the time, a bit like Terry Hall forming Fun Boy 3. It wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Aye, I always say that just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, music is in the ear of the beholder.

I do love The Jam too mind, did some absolute belters.

Just to add bit of context, I also thought their final album ‘The Gift’ was a bit wishy washy as well.

Great album, but a different sound when compared to my favourite ‘ Setting Sons’ and probably a nod towards where he was going, ie Style Council.

Remember this one, which I'm sure we've all been through at least once or twice!.
Losing a partner to somebody else, and the bitter and angry and 'feeling sorry for yourself' feelings, that we go through afterwards!.
