What's your best purchase under £50?

A ticket for a certain match against Bradford City back in the 90s definitely ranks as one of the best

 

I added an oscilloscope to my test tackle. Sawtooth waves, sine waves, square waves, waveforms to die for.

 

this looks like a good thing, which one would you recommend?

 

Braun rechargeable hair and beard trimmer. Bought it for about £40 during first covid lockdown when I wasnt going out anywhere. Never been to barbers since.
N.B. I do sometimes get small children pointing and laughing at my head when I'm walking down the street. Dont know why.

 

I’d go the ‘official’ brand and get Waterpik. You can get cheaper ones but it’s not that expensive and it’s just seems much better than the others.

I was able to suss out if the alternator on our kids car was working or not. Or if something in the car was excessively draining battery power.

All check out and all ok. So if his battery goes flat in 2 days time from 100% I know his battery is buggered.

Took me half an hour to work out how to set the thing up though, but it's now had its first proper use and did the job

Snooker cue. Bought for around £20 when I was about 12 (I'm 40 now)
Don't play as much as I'd like to now but still try and go with my Dad once a month for a game.
The amount of games I have played with it must make it one of the best value items I have ever bought. Playing with a different cue feels like playing with my wrong hand!

I’d like to add Plaque Off, a tub of seaweed that you add a tiny amount to your dog’s food every day instead of having to faff about with a toothbrush and toothpaste. It works wonders to clean their teeth and it’s 1000 times easier than trying to brush the things!

Bought in the late 80’s a “ revolutionary piece of equipment “ called a Bullworker.
I still have it and use it to strengthen rarely used muscles in the shoulders and lower back.
How many will admit to remembering them ?

 

In 1964 I bought a Breitling Navitimer 806 for £40 with all my birthday money and savings. Probably worth a 100x that now. I should have bought two.
