I would agree. When managers say of 17 / 18 year-olds "it's good to have them round the matchday squad for experience" I would partially agree, but Dyer is at an age he needs more than just a carrot.

 

Yeah but he's from the academy therefore "not ready" or "not showing enough" so instead we will bring in unemployed people from America to have a crack instead

 

That's a pity, was hoping he'd get some more chances.

 

Players were missing from the squad so he was in and now players are back so he misses out. No real complaints from me on that front.

More of a complaint was that he didn’t get on against Stockport and should’ve been on earlier against Huddersfield.

 

I get that but he's a centre forward. A striker. Lewis is an out and out left winger (anyone doubting that should rewatch last week) and Rodriguez is also clearly a winger. No strikers on the bench is criminal especially when starting with players who have recently performed as badly as Humphreys

 

He needs to learn how to jog around looking disinterested and occasionally dribble into players. That gets you a start here. You don’t even need to score for three months either.

 

He needs to terminate his contract, get a short term one on minimum wage in Scotland, Ireland or better yet, America, then Mladen can have a quick **** over his physical stats on football manager and bring him in on a four year contract. Guaranteed 20 starts a season

 

Thing is it’s a lot easier picking a team when your job doesn’t depend on it.
That being said looking at that team it hardly screams goals does it?

 

And a lot harder when you've got your boss with zero coaching experience having a word two or three times a day.

By the way, my moan is at the flawed logic applied by the club as a whole towards the way players are treated. Not towards Clarke.

I’m not sure sure Rodrigues is a winger, I’m not sure what he is yet in all honesty.

I get what you’re saying with Dyer, I just think it’s a case that proven players coming into the squad pushes him out.

Maybe we’ll see Dyer more towards the end of the season when playoffs are even further away.
