You should know by now not to try and understand DC's substitution decisions. Usually random; usually wrong.
At the risk of sounding like a moaner after we've won, the few times he had the ball he looked like a competition winner. But he didn't have much of the ball so I'm not gonna judge too harshly atm.
We weren’t really hanging imo, not sure what you criticising for. We weren’t brilliant but wins breed confidence and maybe this will give us a lift going into next few games.
Thanks for the win reds. Two poor sides and nothing up front for the reds, just need a transfer window to sort it.
Five goals in seven games, including a penalty, and not more than one in any game. We are devoid of ideas and confidence anywhere near the final third. Pass when we should shoot. Shoot when we should pass. Hit the first man with the cross. Just randomly lose it. Turn a set piece in their final third, to a mad scramble in our area.
I want to like him. He’s clearly a trier. But seen nothing to suggest he’s any better than one of the academy lads.
Lots of average performances all through the side today, but Robbo was immense. Credit where it's due. He had two poor games, then got stupidly sent off. He was everything I hoped he would be today. Top performance.
If he’s seriously been scouted by the club then we’re in for years of pain if that’s the standard we’re looking at , i actually feel sorry for the lad.
Personally, I thought he did a decent job at stretching their defence. Something we've lacked when protecting a lead for a while and certainly better than Cosgrove and Watters have done this season. They had a bit of pressure in injury time, but not loads and I think a lot of it was down to him holding the ball up in their half of the field. Some of his decision making was poor though, particularly that one he procrastinated over on the edge of the box which Connell then skied.
