https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/league-one/table Looking a touch better after we've completed our win to nill double, and resulrs have been kind to us. We might start getting a bit more giddy again if we win our next two. Plenty of twists and turns to come yet.
Positives to take ,kept a clean sheet . Worrying points we could only score once against a very poor RUFC team. Evans is on borrowed time.
Orient lose and we win midweek and having written off the season last week after Huddersfield, I may have some slight hope. Dangerous game…
Great to get the win but with it coming against an awful Rotherham team i personally think it’s just papered over the cracks .
We can close the gap to 4 points if we win and Birmingham win at home to Leyton Orient. Wigan are home to Huddersfield as well, who might help us out. Tuesday isn't in any way a pre season friendly.
Well happy with 3 points but have to admit we still showed nothing in the last third. Defended well though and everyone put in a shift. Rotherham are truly awful.
If and it is only if, we win Tuesday and Birmingham and Wigan do us a favour, then next Saturday is Barnsley v Lincoln Wrexham v Bolton Leyton Orient v Charlton
And that surprises me because only last month, I was thinking watch out for them in the 2nd half of the season. It looks like its not worked out this time for the fat man lol, and they obviously want Warne back.
Massive fixtures when in the Wrexham and Orient games at least one side in each game will be dropping points.
Yes the clean sheet was a big positive, nothing up top though dkd worked hard. But apart from him our biggest attacking threats are Phillips and Russell.
Orient lost today. Six behind. They play Birmingham Tuesday. When we beat Northampton, we’ll be a win and a couple of goals away. COYR.
I was actually thinking Bolton's winner today was a 'good' result for us, as we close the gap on L.Orient. And then who knows, IF we could close it further down to 4-5 points with the games left, anything could happen. Yeah its not great, as that awful run did virtually ruin the season... but today shows its not over yet!.
I think you make a massive point in that we defended well, how many times have we been able to say that recently?.....still a long shot but I bet the players still believe they are in with a shout, pity Connell got a ban, but also Watters(don’t laugh) maybe back Tuesday and he gives us another option up front. There’s always a team comes up on blindside and gets in playoffs, maybe our turn, who knows but never say never.
Sadly there's no Adam Hammill to fire us up the league. Sure it's all very tidy but ultimately it's a stiff formation and we are where we deserve to be. Just glad we stopped the rot as there's usually one team that drops out of nowhere towards the relegation zone. Looks like Mansfield might be taking on that role this year (5 defeats in 6), or even Rotherham.
We have never ever been in danger of going darn pal lol, talk apart pessimists, you take the biscuit today old friend.
