Anyone else watching yet? Just switched it on, not sure if this is the first fight?

 

Yes. They’ve just had a local fighter on. Now the serious stuff begins.

Buatsi - Smith would be a big main event on a show in the UK & it’s the show opener in front of a sparse crowd there. Bonkers

 

I know. I’m just off out for a meal so hoping to be back for as many as possible.

 

Saudi Arabia is so poor for atmosphere at Boxing.

I still prefer it there though rather than the years we had Sunday 5 am starts in Las Vegas.

 

It's been a great fight so far

 

One of the best fights I’ve ever seen & I’ve watched a lot. Smith deserved the decision but both were incredible.

Loved it, it was like a fight from the 70s or 80s. No faffing about just two blokes trying to knock the other out

 

Hooky judges no matter where a fight is located.

Josh Padley is one brave *******.

 

This Josh Padley from Doncaster is a gutsy boxer , giving it a go with 4 days notice

 

Padley has fought exceptionally. Stevenson number two in the world and Padley has had him worried at times.

 

He's done well to still be in there but there's levels he hasn't won a round. Done really well though. 4 days notice great effort

 

He's not coming out for the 10th, hopefully

 

Superb effort that but right decision by his corner, no point in taking any more punishment.

 

Tremendous effort from Padley & I’m not casting any judgement on him as he tried to fight on but that last round stank.

At the start of the round as Padley gets off his stool the assistant in the corner winked & nodded across the ring in the direction of Stevenson’s corner.

Stevenson then came out like a man possessed & put everything he could into getting the stoppage after going through the motions in the rounds previous.

The corner then throws the towel in with a couple of seconds left even though Padley was going to get through the round & they could have looked at him in the minute between rounds.

I would imagine there’s a lot of people in that arena who have won a bet on the fight ending in that round.

 

I thought Sheeraz lost but a draw wasn’t a terrible card.

I felt he won the first four & the eleventh so he only needs one more for a draw & the Sky viewers had him winning four & with one drawn round.

To get a card where Sheeraz wins is a bit more of a stretch. I think that is a bit dodgy.

 

I’ve got every fight wrong so far.
