A couple of weeks ago I accidently dropped on a band called Hindley Street Country club. They're from Adelaide .They're a covers band but if you want perfection you've found them. They don't write there own songs because as the main man said "if its not broke don't fix it".They've had a billion internet hits worldwide and just finished touring USA .They've never played Europe but they've announced a European and UK tour in October /November.The lead female is Kat Jade who i think is sensational and was mentored by Kylie Minogue on Australia The Voice. Check them out see what you think.
I thought it would have been an elastic band but I bet that's wrapped around your wallet keeping the moths in
You wouldn't have said that if you'd have come round Sheffield after the match.Extortionate pricing. Talking of elastic bands we were entertained by a magician and his first trick involved elastic bands. He was really good. One of the lads with us was freaking out. They call him Greg Holdfield,Magician, mind reader and pick pocket available for weddings, birthdays etc..........thats where my money went.
Mentioned by @Mr Badger back in December. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/australian-cover-band-hscc-on-youtube-just-wow.334356/ I stuck a couple of their compilations in my Spotify favourites. Not bad at all.
I'd not seen this thread. Take a listen of Kat singing Celene Dions It's all coming back to me now.Quite stunning.
A couple of songs up loaded on their site.St Elmos Fire John Parr and The Logical Song Supertramp. Class as usual.
Fun fact. On Sunday morning, Hindley Street stinks of p155. I do watch all the HSCC videos though. Also the break off Sing It Live (could they have chosen a worse name? sounds like karaoke) channel.
"If it's not broke don't fix it' is a very odd mantra for a covers band. Not fixing it would surely involve the audience listening to the original version of the songs. This band are trying to fix those songs. If you write original material you're not trying to fix anything, just offering something new.
