Was Russell actually playing because other than that tame header at the end he was totally anonymous

 

I genuinely thought he must have been subbed when I went to get a drink 25 minutes earlier. I hadn't seen hide nor hair of him in all that time until he cushioned that header back to their keeper.

 

He's done that a few times in that position. He heads it, and it's on target, but it's always a gentle back pass directly into the goalie's hands.

 

I’d have to disagree with that. I think MDG is rather like Corey. Both are great on effort and could never be accused of not putting a shift in, but I think they are poor footballers/defenders - even at this level.

 

Can't beleive the hatred to Jon Russel ,he is a quality player were lucky to have in our line up.
But wtf do I know .

 

To be fair, the odd mistake will always happen. Every single player in league one has and/or will make a mistake like it, probably a lot more than once. It happens in the premier league all the time. The issue is the amount of times it happens to the same players, Roberts had a few game stinker but has drastically improved lately again. Absolute rock in the air again as he was last weekend

 

He’s been propped up by the number of assists he’s had, which have dried up lately. His corners have been woeful and there’s always a defensive rick there. Just as I start to think there’s a good player in there he goes backwards.

 

When I saw the headed back pass to the opposition goalie, I had to check who it was, as I'd not heard his name for the past hour.

 

Mael has been fairly consistent since he joined.

You don’t played every game for 2 seasons nearly under 3 different managers if you’re poor.

Also, It was never a red.

O’Keefe has done well this season - his stats show it too. Not the perfect player, but he won’t be at League 1 level. Agree Williams was better, but I do think O’Keefe has pushed on this season.

I'm with you. Both work tremendously hard, but the quality... it's just not there.

 

Social media was bad for it before game. Probably the same clowns who sang Humphrys name Saturday when he was been subbed with his nice clean shirt another appearance where he went through the motions

 

I can sort of understand okeefes pass back. It happens sometimes, an under hit pass. What I can’t understand is him gently jogging back after he does it? WTAF was he doing???

He certainly saved us a couple of times though when they broke past Okeefe & then put some tackles in. Acres of space in behind him too.

Lol. I won't go that far, but he isn't good enough for a team who have aspirations of pushing for promotion. He just isn't.
