Unlucky? Don’t really see it. Barely had an injury for two seasons & still couldn’t get near City & Liverpool’s best points totals. They’ve lost a few key forwards at once but it’s hardly an injury crisis.
I genuinely think Klopp had just had enough he'd done the rebuild of the midfield which needed to be done. Slott came in and had the common sense to realise it just needed tweaking two top managers.
I'm not a big fan of 'bottling' but I honestly think that's what Arsenal have done. They were so far clear at one point and still lost out. For me, it all got shown in 1 game. When Arsenal beat City 5-1 a few weeks ago, Havertz missed an absolute sitter when it was only 1 nil, when it would have killed the game off. Completely fluffed his lines. Later on, when the pressure is off and man city have gone to sleep, havertz scores a good goal, as he often does when they dont matter very much. I just think it's similar in that whole club. Twice in 2 seasons they've lost to West ham at home, Bournemouth, Forest last season. When Liverpool slipped up a couple of weeks ago against Villa & Everton, Arsenal did what Arsenal have done under Arteta, and not capitalised.
Read an article this week that Klopp & Salah didn’t like each other, apparently Klopp didn’t want him but wanted a striker he had at Dortmund with him but the DoF overruled him and signed Salah. Despite that he did get him performing.
