In March. Tickets on sale for Sheff Utd Fans They are charging £15 per person for coach travel there. WTF https://www.sufc.co.uk/news/2025/february/26/wednesday-away-tickets/
I had to check the date as I expected it to be April 1 £15 for a 10 minute 3.5 mile journey who would buy a ticket
I suppose a coach costs a standard day rate for a coach, even if it is only going to do under 4 miles there and 4 miles back. According to Google, you could walk it in 1 hrs 20 mins. Having said that, it's 3.5 miles so I don't know if that is based on walking backwards. A reasonably fit person could do it in an hour. Question is, as has been said, why on earth are they putting coaches on? Surely they would just get the tram?
This reminds me of the Only Fools scene where Trigger turns up at the flat because Del Boy has promised him a lift to the pub. Rodney points out that Trigger lives closer to the pub but Trigger doesn’t get the logic. So I can imagine lots of Blades fans who live on the Hillsborough side of the city travelling across to Bramall Lane just so they can get the bus…
I've seen detour having to take having to head towards Chapeltown so that end up going down Penistone Road towards swillsborough
Don’t see the issue really. Plenty of older folk might struggle to get over alone and also feel a little safer with an organised coach etc. The driver gets paid from when he picks the coach up, to when he drops it off. Not just the quick drive. And often they have to wash it when done. And I bet on the day, with traffic, a local taxi or Uber won’t be far off the same amount…..
Isn't that the same scene where Rodney is listening to Mozart and Trig calls it the Karaoke version? God, I miss that programme. Such classic lines.
I hope they all have to pay an absolute fortune to attend, to travel there (hopefully in horrendous traffic) and that they all pay silly money for food and beverage that gives them the sh*ts, before watching the worst 0-0 of all time. Sets of ćunts.
