Lewis hadn’t played since November and we rushed him straight into the matchday squad. No surprise he’s injured. Not Clarke’s fault, he needed the bodies. It’s what happens when you bring players in on the cheap from overseas where the game is different altogether and who haven’t been playing. Highlights once again what a crap window we had. We just never seem to learn from our mistakes. More money wasted….
True. Same happened with Pines last season. And I think happened with Dike as well from memory. And then we’re looking to play a 34 year old CB 3 games in a week as we’ve little other option. When the last time he played 3 big games in a week it crocked him (I still blame Clarke for that - he should have rested him against Rovers in cup).
Shame we didn’t have a full calendar year to bring in 1/2 strikers innit, that we had to rush a four foot nowt player out of match fitness! Well done DOF
