    Has anybody checked to see if the Sty is still standing? Apart from the stand built around the main stand, I think some rust remover would cause it to fall down so no idea of what a good vibration would do.

    All these reports seem to have failed to pick up on the fact it was the former Union Carbide plant. Used to make carbon rods for nuclear research.
    I think the failure to notify residents is deliberate. Dread to think what toxins have just been released.
    The site had been derelict for decades - supposedly because the threat of releasing harmful materials during any demolition.

    I would imagine the buildings were checked for chemical/toxic possibilities. It wouldn't have taken place otherwise I'm guessing. Modern equipment and all that.
    Bit poor that it wasn't widely advertised as happening though, if the case.
