The worrying thing is that based on recent history, this was our good half.

 

Not one decent cross. Only player showing quality DKD. Charlton are not great either

 

To be fair, the first ball and the second ball is pretty poor as well.

Aye last time we played 4 at back it went well at Stockport.

He did that and we conceded you'd be moaning he'd tinkered too much or not managed it well etc etc. Can't win.

Young lad's nervous - can't blame him.

 

Every stat at half time is massively in our favour. Apart from the one that matters .....

I somebody would throw the Rambo impersonator out, he's turning into a massive thrush.

 

I don't think we've played particularly bad until the final third. O'Keefe has developed that allergy again to playing a forward pass and whilst Phillips has got in good areas on the right, his crossing has been poor. You feel if we're going to get back into it, it's going to be a moment of magic from DKD, who appears to be brimming with confidence.

Charlton have some strange tactics; fast players who run down the sides of the field and then kick the ball into the middle of the Penalty Area.

Much better than our slow players who amble down the pitch, then pass backwards, or hit the first man with a cross, or put it straight into their goalies hands.

Maybe we should try it sometime.

 

I've missed half of the half - but I don't recognise this god awful performance folk on here have seen. Has it really been that bad? Away from home, 4 games in 7 days and a young full back brought in to play too. Seen much much worse.

Imho...we look alright on that 45.
We have given as good as we got and looked ok in transition for most parts.
They have pace out wide and thats a worry especially on 70 mins....I dunno we never seem to get anything at Charlton and I was expecting a lot more from them...that said that's our good half and we will be knackered with 20 to go....and they should see the 3 points out from there.
Horrendous keeping for the goal....Dkd pick of the bunch.

 

No matter how much this commentator tries to make out they’ve scored the goal of the season that should never find its way past Smith. That’s the main difference so far. Our back line makes me really nervous for the second half though, Earl going off is a bit of a disaster. On a positive I think Watters would stretch these and DKD is the best player on the pitch.
