Nah. He’s decent. Also the first CEO to recognise that fans actually need some kind of figures to understand where the club are at financially. He won’t get everything right, but he’s the right guy for the job in my eyes. Whoever is current CEO will face a struggle and will also be looking to out prices up.
I don't see what he's added to the club. I know that despite being made aware he's allowed the company he is CEO of to break advertising laws week after week.
From an outside perspective I really don’t know why he gets so much flack as he does? We seem to be signing with a new partner every couple of weeks which means more money coming into the club. Whenever I have been lucky enough to be invited into a box this season the hospitality experience is amazing every single time and people in there seem to have good things to say about him. Could be better on the concourse but I think things have improved in areas, faster tills, staff seem to know what they’re doing more. But the prices are terrible still, can’t believe we charge £3.25 for a hot drink that’s an instant cappuccino. Still needs some work to get it all up to standard for sure. Out of all those in leadership positions he seems to be the most competent (not hard to achieve) and he had a good track record at York (rugby club) I believe.
I don’t see how Flatman is the problem. He’s in charge of the commercial side. Ensuring we have sponsors, correct facilities, day-to-day staff etc. The problem we have is the players, manager and football are all rubbish - which is Mladens remit.
But the commercial side has priced fans out of refreshments meaning we sell sod all compared to in the past. Commercial side raised season ticket prices meaning we lost thousands of sales this season
Are the reduced wait times for food and drink due to improved staff efficiencies or has the demand for refreshments diminished due to prices, coupled with the fact that far fewer supporters are attending?
I imagine James Cryne is the influence behind Mladen’s appointment. Word has it he’s an old uni mate of his.
I don't know as I don't know either of them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they knew one another before Sormaz was appointed sporting director; they were both involved in data analysis in the same industry. Not a guarantee but it's not difficult to imagine a scenario where they've crossed paths. They may even have become friends. James may have even recommended Mladen for the role of sporting director at Barnsley. Where all of this stops making sense to me is the claim that James gave Mladen the job. James is not in a position to do so, he doesn't make those decisions. Him recommending someone does not directly result in that person getting the job. And that's if they are friends, they may not have known one another at all.
I believe there are plans to improve the concourses further. I agree that the prices probably put plenty off.
0robl4is gally that these plans always get scaled back and changed or simply dropped so until the "plans" see the light of day ill continue to criticise how badly he's currently running these things Examples. Safe standing. I disagree with it as we all know but where is it? Straight after the Huddersfield match wasn't it? Fanzone. Supposed to be with consultation. Changed to fab members seeing a plan and nobody else which in reality becomes a scaled back **** version with zero consultation Ordering food from your seat. One of flstmans great announcements. Where is itM ******** promises mean sod all unfortunately
This has not come from the club, but I've heard that the EFL is reportedly considering stopping clamping down on standing in seats, presumably after clubs have complained that they cannot police this. Some clubs have decided not to go ahead with safe standing. as a result. (I was given the names of the clubs that have already canned safe standing). Safe standing and fan zone feedback are both on the FAB agenda for next week. On the subject of the ordering food from your seat, I believe it was suggested a very small trial run will happen before the end of the season.
