Seen a bit of love for his work on here over recent weeks. At Sheffield City Hall on 19 July if anyone interested.
Just got tickets - not cheap but it'll be a good night

I absolutely love that song. It's a nice tune in general but the words and meaning is just perfect

That is a lovely song, not sure I've heard it before.

As a rule though I'm not a fan of music comedy. Just doesn't mix well IMO.

Never heard of Bonzo Dog, but seen a fair bit of Bill. Comedy to music is just not funny, to me. Some of it sounds decent, but doesn't make me laugh. If I watch comedy then I want to be laughing.

Bonzo Dog were the house band for the TV show Do not adjust your set back in the 60s which featured the future Pythons Eric Idle, Michael Palin and Terry Jones along with David Jason and others. It was supposed to be for kids but it was brilliant. I used to make sure I was back home from school when it was on.

I never saw Bonzo Dog but I saw the sax player (Roger Ruskin Spear) in his solo show in 1976, it was absolutely hilarious and totally bonkers.
