Great memories of playing this when we were kids. I’m not sure we adhered to the rules like these guys thought, in fact we probably made it up as we went along. I was crap. Started with good intentions, but rarely got out of my own half and once I was getting hammered, I’d send my keeper (and sometimes the goal posts) to make ‘interceptions’ at halfway where he’d be stranded until the ball went out of play - usually by way of me conceding another. We used to have a great laugh though. Deffo helped keep us occupied during the winter months.

I had the Barnsley one from when we were in the Premier League, though I never kept them in the box or in good condition, so had to supplement the side with a few of the Norwegian side I also had. Fitting really, given we signed Jan Aage Fjortoft midway through out Premier League season. I also had the Wednesday one from the same season, who borrowed a couple of Chelsea players.
I like this guy on Instagram, who collects and paints his own teams and has built a decent 'Italian themed' stadium. https://www.instagram.com/bespokesubbuteo?igsh=ZjkxNmk5d2YxdDhr
Still got some of my Subbuteo from BITD with floodlights, grandstand amongst numerous accessories. Lost count at the amount of players I had to glue back together from being knealt on
I once got this version of Striker first by mistake. I was a bit disappointed because it was just penalty shoot outs, but in hindsight it was probably a better game for multiple players. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/17687202...486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
