Problem conor faces is a massive injury list and poor options for selection, but who knows, wish him luck be great if it works out.

There's literally no point in speculation about another manager. Conor has it until the summer and maybe beyond if he does ok. The list of available managers now won't look the same in the summer unfortunately.

No one with a dodgy gillet.
No one with a stupid hat.

Other than that I'm pretty open minded though we're looking for a head coach and not a manager.

I think an ex Red who was loved in the better times, recently ended his career and looking to start his managerial career would be an ideal choice, step forward Sam Winnall

Would love it to be Hourihane because it would’ve meant he’s done well in this stint however with the injuries and squad we have, I think it’s going to be tough for him.

Be someone from Europe who plays the high press. I’d probably be okay with that given our record with that is fairly decent.

Whoever is in the dugout come August, they need to be backed a hell of a lot better than Clarke has.

2 poor appointments made at a time when the people in charge of the club were seemingly intent on causing chaos. I don't think their nationality made any difference, and given the amount of changes to personnel and playing style that summer, I don't thi k many British managers would have faired much better. For every Schopp and Asbaghi, there's a Stendel or Ismael, and everything inbetween (Struber).

If Conor can somehow replicate what he achieved in terms of playing style when he was with us, in terms of formation & style of play, then I’d be happy for him to get the gig long term.

Either way it’s pointless speculating until Sormaz is sacked & the board start being serious about running us as an actual football club.

Warne would be good with Hourihane as his assistant. Hourihane has spoken about how Warne helped him with his coaching at Derby, though would they be able to work together since Warne would know there's a fan favourite ready to take his job? I'd love Richie Wellens, but I can't see it happening.

Looks like we've already started with the winner stays on kind of thing.

For me, see how Conor goes (which is what the club are doing).

If he can’t make it click, then has to be Paul Warne. But doubt he’ll come.

I wouldn’t be against Duff coming back - but he’s done nothing since leaving, and he would be inheriting a weaker squad, so can’t see him doing anything much tbh. The expectation level would be quite low - but it probably already is anyway.

Not necessarily. He could be completely average in these next 10 games and still get the gig by default in the summer after they have tried and failed to give it to 10 other people first.

Quite honestly, I stand by my thoughts in posts a few weeks ago on the subject of CH being the boss, that I would be amazed if he actually wanted it. He is switched on, he's seen the setup from within and he knows that he gets promoted first time of asking or his turn for the chop is this time next year, and that could kill his managerial career before it even got off the ground.

    It’s likely to be Hourihane.

I can’t see managers like Warne or Clough taking it if they’ve got to work with Hourihane & Devaney instead of their own staff.

I think for season ticket sales it needs to be someone well known. If it's someone from abroad nobody here has heard of before, it will feel very underwhelming to many, at a time when season ticket sales are super important.

It's gunna be funny on twitter, especially the guys critical of Conor, when he ends up winning all our remaining games, finishes in play offs and wins them... and then leaves for Luton in time for new season:D
