Someone or something we don't have to get emotionally involved with.
If we don't like it press delete, if we do then press refresh.

That's about as legitimate as everything else I've ever seen that comes from AI.

People are using these novelty text prediction tools to diagnose their own illnesses and following the advice they are given.

They're used by local authorities to assess EHCP applications.

If you want to know how good AI is, and I mean any AI, they're all the same, don't ask it for information on a subject you're trying to learn, ask it about something you know really well. You'll then see what a waste of time it is.

It has its uses in specific contexts where tools are adapted for a particular purpose. The problem is that many of the uses people and businesses are putting AI to are not that, and the tools are used by people who don't properly understand the capabilities and limitations of what they're deploying.

Which as you point out is rather dangerous.

You have to know how and when to use it. I do regularly and it's fantastic. Also this isn't AI it's a large language model, they certainly aren't the same thing.

I enjoyed this one from chat gpt, actually got most of the players right apart from a wildcard in goal

Predicting the exact lineup is challenging due to the managerial change and potential tactical adjustments. However, based on recent matches and available information, a probable starting XI for Barnsley could be:

    • Goalkeeper: Barry Cotter

    • Defenders: Georgie Gent, Marc Roberts, Conor McCarthy, Josh Earl

    • Midfielders: Jon Russell, Luca Connell, Adam Phillips

    • Forwards: Max Watters, Stephen Humphrys, Davis Keillor-Dunn

This projection aligns with recent formations and player selections, though Hourihane may implement changes to suit his strategic vision.”

I asked AI who we beat in the league cup during that run in 81/82 - we beat Man Utd 1-0 with a goal by Ronnie Glavin from the penalty spot! Not very intelligent at all
