I think you'll find Wednesday is the day off. For players and coaches. (Hence on the Golf course) He certainly isn't/wasn't part time.

He was on a coaching course, not a golf course

Conor is going to need patience from us in these remaining matches.
But what if we lose four out of the first five games for example, and then if the boo boys start having a go. o_O

We all have our opinions; that's one of the things I love about football. Everyone is an expert.
For what its worth (and its not worth much), my view on the CH situation is that he was recruited as a means to try and build in some succession planning. Nowt wrong wi that.
I think if we're honest with ourselves, we all knew that. As for him not playing, I wasn't surprised. He has one ambition now and that's to be a successful Head Coach - not put his body through 90 minutes of playing every week.
He's been criticised for that, as have the Club.
    Hey ho; life moves on.
DC's early departure put paid to the long term succession planning project and here we are again. Another plan which failed.
However, for me, we should appoint CH now not fart around looking for someone else. He knows the club, the fanbase and the players. Just like us he'll know where the dead wood is and I reckon he'll recognise he has to be ruthless. Look at the level he's played at. He's a bright lad and you don't get to play at the level he's played and not learn about how this crazy game works.
Appoint him now. Stop the search.
He has 10 games. A good intro into the top iob and he's in place for the start of the summer.....and then declare next season a season of transition and rebuild. Don't raise expectations. As fans we should recognise that a rebuild takes more than one season. Give him the job and give him time to create his own culture and identity. Let's be patient.
I reckon, given time, he'll instill discipline and fight and winning football back into this club of ours.
Even if we lose the next 10, confirm his appointment. He's a fighting County Cork lad. He'll not be standing for any ********.

Spent way too long looking at this wondering what it is you don't like.

    Any help?

"And then hopefully, moving forward onto Mansfield, I can create both that energy, that intensity that I want to see more of, the clubs high pressing, getting in their face. It's what the fans demand, what the fans want, and that just gives you a base. "

Conor, I don't demand a high press, I don't know where this notion has come from. There are other ways to play.

The best football I have ever watched has been played by Barnsley FC. Not by Brazil or Real Madrid, but by Barnsley. I've witnessed it in three different eras: in the early 80s under Norman Hunter, in the mid to late 90s under Danny Wilson, and for a briefer period throughout 2016 when you anchored our midfield. None of those teams even knew what a high press was never mind played one.

All due respect here as you're a couple of my favourite players of all time, but you and Sam Winnall couldn't press a flower.

It was the best football because it was played with skill and flair and beauty. The players passed to each other, some of them even dribbled past an opponent. That's what I want to see, I couldn't give a rats arse about a high press.

The sporting director may be insisting your team plays with a high press, but don't turn that around and claim I'm demanding it because I'm not. Give me skill and flair above running after defenders, every day of the week.

There was a thread recently about cringeworthy football phrases. My contribution was people who say "this football club" when talking about the team, as if we were going to somehow think they were on about Pink Pony Club or summat. :)

It’s a Wilderism isn’t it. Every time he’s on the radio he refers to “the football club” two or three times at least. He can’t help himself. It’s like an illness.

I hope he reads this and takes notice. Maybe you should be sporting director!
