When was the last season we had nothing to play for at this stage of the season? I cannot remember we are normally facing relagation or trying to go up.

Been a long, long time. Maybe in fact the first season under Danny & Johnson where we finished 11th (iirc)? Though even then, we were only 7 points off 6th and ultimately failed because we ended up drawing/losing 4 in a row towards end of season

    Unless I'mforgetting something!

Would love a nother season like this... in championship

The Championship is light years away. L2 is closer….

We should see this as a positive. Maybe think, with this squad we managed to stay up.

Johnson after Wilson. Funny 'cos we needed a striker then too, even with Winnall in the team.

We signed Ibhere late on didn't we before Jan window. What a time.

well we have lost the same amount of games as Northampton this season, 15 defeats, in current form we should level out about 14th place

Last season under Heckinbottom beat Forest to go 7th in Championship on New Years Day then sold Hourihane and Winnall finished lower mid table, Pointless sacking Clarke should have reviewed position at end of season, Disruption no good for squad development and morale,

When Johnson was appointed we went on a decent run and play offs looked a possibility. Losing 2 nil at home to Sheffield United put a end to that.

    We're Barnsley FC,

We actually got as high as fifth and then bottled it.

Great away game that NYD Forest one. Cracking 30 yard strike by Hourihane to win it in the dying minutes. It felt like we were capable of anything at that time but deep down we knew that key players would be sold.
Agree about Clarke if we’ve no plan in place for his successor. The current arrangement won’t shift any extra season tickets either if that’s what’s behind it.
