Admin…..Admin….delete this thread pls as it’s not started by RedMist. Come on Dawson…..you know the rules
I actually like the lineup. No square pegs in round holes. Obviously it’s only Albania but let’s get off to a good start
I think he's been a little bit disrespectful in the build up with the Southgate comments. 2 finals and a semi is a tough ask for him to compete with Southgate.
I concur. Like the look of the midfield. The size and physicality of Rice, Jones and Bellingham is impressive. Big fan of both Foden and Rashford but worry there's not enough pace in the forward areas with Kane. Should be a good watch.
I’m not bothered about the quotes. He obviously believes in himself and that is refreshing to see. Tuchal has won a fair bit and can sort of say stuff like that and get away with it. Mourinho was the best at bigging himself up. This guy is similar.
I think you can put yourself over without slating the bloke who got us to two finals and a semi in the last ten years.
I’m just gonna ask one question (and this is not taking anything away from what Southgate achieved btw) Do you think we’d have won one of the finals with Tommy in charge? You’ll never know the answer but if ever those two walked through the door for a job interview at BFC….I know which one I’d appoint.
I'm not fan of Southgate, but I agree - especially considering the mess we were in when he first got the job. Did wonders for squad/country morale.
forwards finish from Skelly, should always put the ball between the keepers legs its the one place they can't react to
Was a midfielder in academy for Arsenal, played on wing on occasion. I reckon at some point he will be moved there for first team. Especially when Partey & Jorginho leave at end of season, perhaps play Calafiori, Tomiyasu leftback or move Timber over and get Ben White back at right back. Though I imagine they'd wanna offload Tomiyasu with his injuries. Looks a cracking talent. Him & Nwaneri, look great. Saka no age either.
I know Albania are sticking 11 men behind the ball, but the cross-field ball opens them up every time if Foden and Rashford can find space. Impressed with Rashford so far today.
