Selling a game?

If you had to convince a mate or family member to come back to a game after missing the past 3-4 seasons what would you say to convince them? Why should the person return?

 

This is a low. It can only get better from here.

 

Not sure I'd be classed as a mate if I convinced someone to attend a match at Oakwell at present.

There was someone on here the other week who couldn't give his ST away for the game he couldn't get to. Says it all really

 

Thing is I’ve said every week it can’t get any worse, yet game by game it somehow does

 

I don’t think you can sell the ‘match’ part of the day at the moment, it would have to be a beer before and the having an hour or so together part of the day.

 

I'd mention pork pies.

 

I’d tell them that the chance of watching an entertaining game at any professional level in modern football is about 1 in 20.

I take it you no longer want to be mates with the person you're trying to convince to re-attend Oakwell because if you still want to be mates I'd think of a different pastime to occupy Saturday afternoons like watching paint dry or counting blades of grass in the local park.

 

Well........ i just thought you would need some help and ideas. The sad thing is you're a great salesman but you can't sell this one.

 

Yep, i can actually extend that option to replace the 90 mins of the game too making that benefit even better.
