Much better today in my book. No where near good enough to be a top 6 squad as yet, but hey ho.

Yeah. Been a great season for Shepherd - and I do think the club made the right decision over him. He needed that full year in professional football starting every week. And he’s had it.

Will do him the world of good. He just wouldn’t have been given the opportunity at first at Oakwell due to the options in front of him.

At least I have England Women on now, playing well, as usual. Go Red Roses!

EDIT: My favorite player is Ellie (15).

Yeah although it doesn't sound like much, but it's slow improvement and maybe we could even have won it today.
It's all a learning curve though for next season, and while they/Wigan are actually a poor team, I think I'd have taken a point beforehand.

For an hour or more, I enjoyed that.

But once Jalo was withdrawn, Connell came on and it all became compact giving Wigan even more joy down the wings. I don't rate Humphrys, but surely he (or Lewis) for Jalo would have made more sense.

Another moment to forget for the defence costs us a very rare win and clean sheet. I'm of the opinion that you get rid and don't even give the 'keeper a chance. But at the same time, it's a bad look coming and not getting it. Very poor, very costly all round. But not surprising. Because it's been the major issue all season.

Some folk bairn about the forwards, some about midfield. The defence (in my opinion) is the weakest department and were it not so, the others would flourish more often.

Great free-kick from DKD, and I felt that trio up front did alright. Nothing spectacular, but some nice moments nonetheless. And young Bland did well again.

We're just in limbo aren't we, waiting for it to end and see what crazy stuff the club can come up with in the summer.

    My POTM was DKD.

    Stats to follow...

Me too. It's not the dropped points so much as the manner of the equaliser

Match stats suggest we were fortunate to get a point? Wigan had 5 big chances to our none. Also had more shots and corners. We’ve played 3 sides at bottom end of table and garnered 2 points. Very poor….

Week in week out your just waiting for the brain fart moment. We need to score atleast 2 goals to win a game because we will gift atleast one.

Problem is we don’t create many scoring chances either. Lack of decent strikers doesn’t help that. If DKD and Phillips leave as expected in the summer we have to find some goals from somewhere.

Watching it it didn't feel that way. Wigan were pretty toothless until we gifted them the goal, and then Flavell had a real save to make after.

A more experienced keeper gets that ball or clearly shouts to get shut. He had the best view of what was happening and should have anticipated the outcome better. Once he commits that far out, it has to be his.

However, I’m ok with it. That’s how they learn, we’re not going up and not going down. Flavell will learn from it and not repeat it.

Yep. Same as really. There’s the odd bright moment, but generally just going through the motions. Different bloke in charge but mostly same players doing same stuff.
