Know it's prob been said over and over, got rid of manager and no change.

Needs a clear out of coaching staff next manager needs to bring his own coaches etc.

And more involvement in player recruitment surely after the past couple of seasons those at the top can see that the current formula isn't working.

I know that there is a argument for funds but dont we have the third biggest wage bill in league 1 so for me there is no argument on funds just need to use those funds wisely.

...5hite. St Parekh will no doubt employ another numpty as next head coach and put in another £2 million short of what's necessary.

As for the no change happening.
What then if anything, were we expecting or hoping to happen, under Conor in these last 10 games.
I didn't expect much to be honest, apart from some of the fringe players getting some game time. And this would mean some frustrating performances and mistakes, and results.
Not much different than under Clarke to be honest.

Player recruitment hasn't been wonderful. Although I was an early critic of Mladen you have to wonder what budget he's been given by those who hold the purse strings. Perhaps the current formula's not working because of the funds available for incoming transfers.

I’m beginning to think we might regret it if we don’t give CH a proper run at the job.
In a very short time he’s already tweaked the playing style and brought in some new faces.
So he knows what we are lacking, shown a willingness to change , has a name that could attract new faces and likely has good contacts.

Yea.....I think I started a thread (rare for me) when Conor was appointed asking what would we think would expect him to do to get the role permanently. I genuinely stated 10 points and an improvement in performances.....early days but I've seen an ever so slight improvement so far but no real big "new coach bounce" that most teams seem to get.
I really do think this squad are poor.

Sign one player that improves us rather than 3 that don't, fill any gaps with opportunities for academy players, use the loan system much better too

Yeah I suppose its been small steps of improvement, which gives some hope and consolation at least.
We were never going on a run of wins under him, but I would have liked a bit of a 'bounce' when he started.
I think this though, like you said, is more down to the players, than Conor.

The same thing has struck me. It's true that we've only got 2 points in 3 games since Hourihane took the reins, but his comments about players' discipline and his willingness to field youngsters who have justified his confidence in them, plus his intelligence, mean that he could well be our best bet.

Surely we have seen enough to know it isn't whoever the manager is that is the problem?

No idea where you've heard that mate but it's miles off being 3rd biggest. Fairly certain we are around 12th, according to what I can seem to find online, and that was in feb

Very early days but there's been nothing to get excited about yet, we've had 3 very winnable games that would have put us right in the playoff mix and failed miserably to take that opportunity.

True, but our very suspect defence and low morale, following our awful sequence of results, make it unrealistic, arguably, to expect that we'll suddenly look like promotion candidates. The final seven games will give us a better chance to come to some conclusion about Conor's credentials.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out, I'm guessing that the job is Conor's to lose.
