Good point. At least we've finally got to the stage of our own keeper learning from his mistakes that cost us, rather than Chelsea's or Aston Villa's.

I agree but today we were in total control then that happened.

Just a ongoing joke really. I didn't even catch the 2nd half I went out.

Best 3 players in who scored mdg and Roberts. Admittedly I only watched the 1st half but they must have got alot better 2nd half if that stat is true. Both looked shocking from what I saw.

With my centre half’s hat on ( granted not professional but the theory is the same) I’d say that goal was about 80% MDG’s fault.
He’s the senior pro looking at a young keeper , he should be in control of the situation, he’s got two good options knock it out ( easier option) give it a nudge back to his keeper so it gets to him a bit quicker and he opted for the ridiculous option of doing sweet FA!.
Personally I like Flavell and think he’s got the makings and would make a great #2 but it would be a better idea to bring in a experienced confident keeper next year if we are going to do anything !

Wasn’t looking forward to this game, but apart from the howler, I enjoyed it. We played it quicker and looked the better footballing side. Would have like to have seen Lewis.

These are essentially developmental games for a few players now. Essentially a few very early pre-season friendlies based on the team selections.

On that basis a point away from home isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things.

On balance I think it's to CH's credit that he's prioritising squad development at risk of jeopardising his chances of a shot at the permanent role.

Perhaps not much comfort to those paying full whack to attend games, particularly those classed as Cat A games.

MDG all day every day. An absolute liability. He’s cost us 4 points in the last 2 games.

We’ve now got the luxury of being able to blood some of these youngsters so that we are in a better position to push for promotion next season. I like what I’ve seen so far and Connor’s doing a great job.

I don't agree with folk blaming Flavell.

He kept us a point at least.

MDG should have absolutely booted that ball out the ground.

The attacker got around him for a start.

Flavell in my view and what he's shown is very capable.

Any idea why the French striker wasn’t involved today although i presume it’s because he’s crap .

Yeah I think the same, but what are the options though.
Especially if Neerav is suggesting that we'll be selling who we can, and for as much as we can (as usual).
What's KD on now, 15 goals ?. Scorers like that who aren't out and out strikers, are really hard to pick up.

I suspect that the young ones (cue Cliff Richard) will also be on less wages. So if the board are sensible they could potentially cut costs here... Possibly.

DKD will fetch a serious amount of money and is likely to want to get to a higher level as soon as possible because frankly he is too good for this league.

So I expect him to go in the summer. But of all the likely departures, his is the one that would be painful, because he is one of the best and most intelligent players we have had in recent years and is showing now why we spent all summer chasing him. 15 goal players who are not even out and out strikers are as rare as hens teeth and we have a real asset. To be honest, if we paid 750k for him, it was a bit of a steal at today's stupid prices. And if he goes, we need to make sure it's for real silly money.
