Really hope it’s an injury to Phillips as I don’t like at all that he’s been completely alienated from the squad. Awful man management IMHO….
It just shows my relative disconnect to the club compared to the past, but not for the first time this season I've wondered who the unfamiliar face is on the team sheet background.
Why persevere with Humphrys. He won't be here next season (Mladen brainfart excepted) we'd be better off giving Lewis or Watters some more time
Imho If Phillips hasn't been doing it training, he doesn't deserve a start. There's can only be one man in charge, if our coach isn't pleased with what he sees...I back him. I understand he's top of the stats and is a very good technical player but Im with the coach on this one.
So you would advocate even if old Phillo been stinking the place out he still should be picked regardless.
You’ve got to earn the right for a place in the starting 11. Anyone who doesn’t put the hard yards in during training and on match days doesn’t deserve it. For one of our more technically gifted players, he’s certainly hit and miss at best. Likewise with Luca. Living off past glory from 2 seasons ago IMO. No one has a divine right to start, especially if they can’t be fecked.
So we all agree that Conor has awful man-management skills, without an iota of background information on why Philips isn't in the squad. Bravo!
If Phillips can't even be bothered to turn up to meetings he can bollux for me. Totally correct decision this time
It's very difficult for Phillips to come back from that very public hanging out to dry that Hourihane gave him in the Chron. Don't think he'll feature much more for the rest of the season & he'll be gone in the summer.
