I've had two i20's & now i am on my 2nd Kona - all petrol -very reliable in my opinion - if ya can, get one with a bit of power
I was told it’s pronounced Hun-day. I’ve had Santa Fe’s & loved them all - my wife had an i[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] which was really good & now has an electric Kona which is superb
Not a massive fan of them, mainly because every model of their car is a rip off of another car (body shape etc). Usually one of the bigger German brands. however I rented a Kona in Tenerife for a week and it was a decent little car. I like a big engine me, anything with a V6 will usually do! But for a little run around, the kona was a nice drive, cheap to run and pretty comfy inside. The gearbox’s are known for being weak, and the paintwork tends to suffer from lacquer peel but I’m assuming the newer ones have come on leaps and bounds.
I bought a cheap and cheerful 12 yrs old Hyundai Atoz to get my lad through his test, I was amazed by how decent it was...put it into the scrappage scheme a few years later and my old Mum got £2k off a brand new i10...I bought and ran a low mileage 9 yrs old Amica for 8 years until I acquired my Mums i10 after she died....15 years old now and never had to put a spanner on it, the Amica had to have a new gearbox rubber mount at 17yrs old, I sold it to a friend and its still going strong with no rust...don't know about the bigger cars but the small ones are unbeatable.
Three i20's,now have a Bayon. A i20 mechanically but with a more SUV body, easier to get into. Went to York yesterday, cruising at 70, where possible, and returned 60mpg. Highly recommend them.
We have an Ioniq 5 (electric) on a lease. When it's working properly, it's great to drive, fast acceleration, decent quality inside. We've had a few problems with it though - was in a garage about 3 months last summer - which was fine as we got use of a smart BMW all that time! But yeah, mixed overall. The lease is up soon and we won't be getting another. Should also mention, they seem to be full for weeks trying to book services/MOTs in, but of course if you own one, you can go anywhere.
