Manchester area advice pls

    Off to Liverpool tonight - if anything like the last experience I won't get out of the City til midnight.
    Tomorrow I am in UC Expo in Manchester.

    I don't fancy getting home at 1am, to get up at 6 and risk the M62 again in the morning. Was going to get a Travelodge at something like Birch services and drive in at my leisure in the morning, but anyone familiar know of a Travelodge or similar that is close to a trainline that will get me into City? TfGM line or similar, maybe between Warrington & Manc?

    A lot of the freelancers at work stay at the ibis at Salford Quays as it's way cheaper than the usual suspects. Basic, obviously! Right by the tram stop into town. £49 for tonight, I think....
