To be fair humphrys was Close to scoring a second but it got headed off the line he kicked it straight at their players face
Keeper made a worldie to stop him scoring a second to be fair. But, he should always score in that position.
Would normally say get rid and bring in a better but based on the last transfer window i worry to think who we might have got lined up so maybe better the devil you know.
Wouldn’t surprise me if we sold our arse to a League 1 club spending cash. If Bolton came in with double with what we paid for him, I’d be interested to see what would happen.
I think it’s possibly a case of ‘right place, wrong time’ for Humphrys, and I wouldn’t be against him being here next season, IF we improved our options up front. I think he’s capable of being one of our better players, but the lack of a decent striker has put the weight of expectation on his shoulders, and he’s being compared with DKD, who also isn’t an out and out striker.
God please no. I’d escort him out of the place now. Makes pretty much zero effort for 90% of the time. You need to contribute a lot if you cba. Yesterday was his first goal since November.
I used to think the same about Watters and Cosgrove as well Fitz. That idea of if we improve our options up front etc, and it might get the best out of them. But maybe that ship has sailed now, especially regarding those two.
Can't see it. He moved between Oldham, Burton and Mansfield pretty fast. He's not one for being around somewhere for the long haul...
The problem is though, that nobody (players and coaches/managers) stays with us these days for the so called long haul. And it's usually no more than 16 months, if that long!.
